North Shore Blues Report

I was out last night and heard that a few Blues were caught at Breaking Rock. I fished the mouth of the Merrimack River until 8 PM without any luck.

i fished from halibut point to the merrimack and never saw a fish in 6 hours......

I've seen blues on both ends of Plum Island during the past week.
Picked up some on the southern end Tuesday and again last night.
Conditions were challenging last night with the wind.

There were spotty blues around last night between the Anni and Halibut Pt. I was just plugging in the wind and scared up a few. Smaller than the ones a few weeks ago, these were 10lb class

I will be out Friday morning picking up lobster traps. I think, I'll have to do some fishing before!

The water temp was 55 degrees F and no activity in the area of the Merrimack River.

We found a mix of blues and stripers yesterday,mid day in Salem Harbor. I watched a huge bluefish follow, then inhale my fly at one point. He made a strong run before breaking off.

Later in the afternoon I was at the Winter Island ramp waiting to take a boat out and there were still flocks of birds/blitzes going off around the power plant area.
