First Tuna...

Postby ajcaturano » Tue Jul 19, 2011 5:47 pm

After about $10,000 in gear (boat not included) at First LIght Anglers (who I drove nuts asking one mIllion questions) I caught my first Tuna today at 9:00 am off of P Town. We were on the dock by 5 and all macked up and fishing by 7:10, and celebrated with cold Brew at about 10 after getting the boat put back in order. I Caught this great fish on live mackerel with a slow troll. We had one more tuna hit about 20 minutes later but by the time we got the belt on and reels up it had gotten off. We lost three more macks to unknown fish. Special thanks to Patrick, Pete, Nat and Derek over at First Light for all the help. Cant wait to get out again Friday.

Umm, you can't post about your first tuna without providing
photographic evidence. 8)

I saw the pic on facebook. It's legit. Nice job Anthony. I broke off my first four fish from being a newbie, and felt like a million bucks when I put my first one in the boat.
